Syria has met with a
talented syrian painter Abdel Razzaq Shabalout. He was
born in 1974 and became interested in art at an
early age. His father enrolled him in the local Subhi Shouab art school where he soon achieved
notoriety among his fellow students. Later, he
graduated from the faculty of Fine Arts in
Damascus. |

After graduation, he traveled to Dubai to work as
graphic designer for an advertising company, but never
abandoned art as a way of expressing his emotions. “Art
is the Oxygen I need to live” he says. One day, he
decided that his professional job did fill his pocket
but not his soul and decided to abandon the luxury and
the superficiality of his surroundings and return to
Syria to live a very simple life fully dedicated to
painting. “I am trapped by the beautiful faces, the
stunning landscapes, and the dramatic scenery of Syria”
he says. “I invariably become inspired by my
surroundings and find that I can easily unleash my creativity.”
