Ramad Troupe

Legends say that the Phoenician Bird flew so close to the sun so it got burnt and turned into ash. Once again, it was born out of that ash to make remarkable achievements; hence successful contributions followed one another.
This is Ramad Troupe and that was the legend from which the name was derived.

Ramad was established in 2001 by two young people who believed in the language of the body, and that it was more expressive and truthful than any other language. Ramad believed that when the body talks other senses keep silent and become a part of the whole taking part in the show, yet in silence.

The works of Ramad Troupe were created by the choreographer Lawand Hajo who had got several awards from Japan, Lebanon and Syria.

Some of Ramad's scenes are:

  • Creation

  • Reflections

  • Journey of the Body

  • The Rebellion of the Mind

  • Silence of senses

  • Stillnes

Besides, they also participated in the opening ceremony of the 12th Festival of the Syrian theatre.
