What is it?
A thumb drive device composed of  a USB connection, a flash memory and an electronic card; each one of these components having a specific role. This thumb drive comes in handy and secure for information to be stored or transferred from its memory to the PC 's hard disk and vice-versa.
Connection USB
Two connectors: One for data transfer and the other for electricity support from the PC.
Flash Memory
This memory does not loose data when not alimented with electricity, that's why it's called 'flash' memory. This kind of memory is found in cameras and some mobile phones. Now it can go until 4 Go of storage.
Electronic card
This controller is situated behind the USB connectors. It is a messenger between the PC and the flash memory of the USB drive. It indicates the presence of the drive on board, manages the flow of information and organizes the data coming from the PC to the flash memory in a very methodical way.
Unplugging your USB
To avoid any sort of problems, it is strongly advisable to disconnect the device from the PC before removing it. For that matter, right click the new icon on the task bar and then left click it to be able to retract it securely.
